Is Nicotine the main Cause of Smokers’ Diseases?

Have you ever wondered why cigarrette is considered lethal drug? The answer of this question is very easy and clear, because as it is known cigarrettes contain nicotine which is consider to be harmful for people’s health. Tobacco in cigarettes causes a very high number of deaths from lung cancer but death is not caused by nicotine, according to a recent research. The offender is tobacco tar which has little to do with the effects of nicotine. For example nicotine skin patches and oral preparations for quitting do not cause any kind of cancer for that matter.

Nicotine functions in the body is to mimic Acetylcholine (ACH) (one of the main body hormones or messengers which stimulates most nerve to nerve and nerve to muscle functions in the body) especially in the adrenal gland where both cause the release/secretion of adrenaline and noradrenaline which are the natural body stimulants and which "meth" and amphetamine are both chemical cousins and much more effective. Adrenaline works mostly on the heart and brain as stimulants and noradrenaline works mainly on the skin to cause blood vessel constriction and that’s why the skin gets pale.

Researchers reported that burning tobacco in particular produces Carbon Monoxide which can be lethal. It also produces Cyanide which most people recognize it as a poison. But the worst part of Tobacco Tar is that it affects very much the lung system causing bronchitis with infections and emphysema which can stop the lungs normal function of oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange.

At the end of the research, scientists found that not nicotine cause cancer but the tar produced by burning tobacco and the smoke which is inhaling by smokers.
