Lights variant of Swedish tobacco

New boom occurred in researches of tobacco effects. It was sustained by doctors that sent this affirmation online to The Lancet.

Cigarette users are looking for a smoking tobacco that is less harmful then initial tobacco that comes in form of cigarettes. And it seems that it was found such tobacco-Swedish one.

As it was sustained Swedish snus tobacco is not so much injurious as is that contained in cigarettes. As it was presented in a research cig smokers are at least 10 times more likely to get lung cancer than people who use snus.

This new discovery is expected to change some restriction that was introduced in European Union countries. With regard to cigarette tobacco effects on human health snus tobacco was banned in almost all states, except for Sweden. This country owns such gift, because of the widespread use of the powder tobacco among Swedes.

Today, in the United States smokeless tobacco became legal, and new introduced snus tobacco is being test-marketed in at least two U.S. cities.

“We should not delay in allowing snus to compete with cigarettes for market share,” Dr. Jonathan Foulds of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Dr. Lynn Kozlowski of the University of Buffalo said in analyzing two studies published in The Lancet.

Thing that make snus previous tobacco cigarette is its method of preparations. As Swedish snus makers say that “the production process there is different from similar products in the U.S., adding that they work hard to remove carcinogens during manufacturing.”

It is important to mention fact that snus is also harmful. It was found around 30 carcinogens in the smokeless tobacco.

It was done a research. Were tested 279,897 male Swedish construction workers from 1978 to 1992, from those 26 percent were snus users, 37 percent were smokers and the rest never used tobacco.

Researches showed that for smokers, the incidence rate of pancreatic cancer was 13 cases per 100,000. That rate dropped to 8.8 cases per 100,000 for snus users. And for those who didn’t use tobacco, the rate was 3.9 cases per 100,000.

What will be final point for this new introduction will show time, but fact that it was found a tobacco that is less harmful is already good news for all smokers.
