There are so many different brands, types and styles of cigarettes that sometimes it becomes rather difficult to choose one brand from all that variety of tobacco products available at tobacco markets, especially when you are a new-comer in smoking. Tobacco manufacturers provide many brands that come in diverse in colors, flavors and sizes. Now, cigs are even classified into male cigarette brands and female cigarette brands.

There are situations that even for experienced cig smokers it’s hard to make a definite decision, because there are no identical tobacco brands.

What is important in selecting smoking tobacco? the so called three “P” (price, promotion, product placement) are significant in a way. It can be estimated that one of the most “advertising” parts of cigarettes is their packs. They are very notable when potential buyers select from relatively homogenous products.

At beginning cigarette packs were used to contain and protect tobacco products. The packs weren’t so important because they were discarded after usage. Time passed and cigs’ packs grow to status of “badge products” for tobacco users.

As John Digianni states: “a cigarette package is part of a smoker’s clothing, and when he saunters into a bar and plunks it down, he makes a statement about himself”. There are no persons that can deny this fact. It’s a kind of trendy accessory. Cigarettes are like individuals: different in style and taste.

The primary job of the tobacco package is to create a desire to purchase and try. In order to achieve this, cigarette packs must to be new and different enough to attract the attention of the possible smoker.
